What size is this spare. I can't fit a 15" wheel with tire in my Demon....the car had 14's. And a 14" wheel will not fit the disc brake set up on the rear. I haven't tried the front yet. Just would like to have a spare for emergencies. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=88358
Yes, it is a anti spam measure. It is a simple alerter to us MODs that a newbie posted. So we look, and see it isn't a spammer and approve it. It does newbies first posts and then newbies first links they put up.
In this way, even a bored spammer that sits here posting up car questions only to come back later and post spam, gets caught. YEP! They try it all the time.
You can get a 14 to clear the disc set up. Perhaps, the rim needs to be afrom a like car? For disc caliper clearance?
A 15 inch rim will clear on A bodies, but the right off set must be used and your limited in tire diameter.
OH, my spare is a 15 inch rim and the stock tires are kind of big/tall. Currently, I'm running 245/15/60's on the Magnum. Speedometer didn't need a correction. That would be a tire diameter of approx. 26.6 according to the BFGoodrich site.
rim width --section width--daimeter---------revs @ 45mph--max load
7 - 8.5---- 9.8 on 7-------- 26.611-- ----------782 ----- 1753 @ 35 psi
The tires and wheels have already been figured out and are all together and mounted...but the spare was not given any consideration (because it's a spare) now it is on the drawing board since it would not fir the spare tire well. So I did a 14" wheel with matching tire and that did not fit the disc brake setup as I said. So next step is a 15" wheel with a smaller diameter tire too fit the brakes and trunk well
As far as 14 clearing the disc setup...that's a no and is agreed on by Wilwood
So the reason for the post on EBO is that they had Space Saver spares and thought my research would end with a Mopar Space Saver.
A side bar here-If you need a space save-look in the wreaking yards for AMC of the save vintage-they used the same ones as Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth.
