fender tag

I just decoded my fender tag. And I found out my car originally came with a white top (V1W)
but my interior is BLACK(A6XW) has anybody ever heard or seen this color combo before.
also says strobe stripe is black!

I've seen white tops on otherwise black cars and love the combo. Black stripe makes it even better!

A lot of them were built this way. The white top was cooler in the sun when compared to the black top. The black interior was easier on up keep.

A6XW is actually a Black and White Interior. I don't have a 72 Barracuda example picture, but here is the XW interior in a 72 Challenger. The seats and door panels are white, and the dash and carpet are black.

I have a '68 Coronet R/T that was originally black with a white tail stripe and a white over black bucket seat interior and no vinyl top. I bought it as a complete numbers matching project and absolutely plan a faithful resto of it if I can get around to it...
