Firewall Insualtion?

My car was missing most of the insulation that goes on the inside of the firewall. What little was left was 50 years old and falling apart. I ordered a repro insulation Detroit Muscle. What is the best way to attach this to the firewall? I remember years ago there was a product called contact cement and I used that on my first Barracuda but I don't know if it is still sold or if it is the best way to attach the insulation. I couldn't find any information on the net about doing this. I only found stuff on installing the aftermarket insulation. Don't mind the paint runs. I am going to take care of that today.

I have used 3M headliner and fabric spray adhesive with very good results.
