galley plug

looks like i have a leaky galley plug on my 360 magnum. do i need a replacement or will teflon tape do the job? should i anticipate much oil leaking when i remove it?

As I recall those are pipe thread plugs, thus teflon tape or even paste should work. I've used Permatex gasket maker on them as well, but they generally don't like to ever come out afterward.
 
Not a lot of oil will leak out if the engine has been sitting a while , Teflon tape or liquid teflon sealer will work , no new plug needed .

I would check the oil pressure switch,Distributor seal & The end of the valley gaskets while you are in the area,allculprits for rear end leaks
