Going to an open air Cleaner; what kinfd of fitting to put on fuel vent line under the hood of 70 Cuda 383

Hi. A friend has a 1970 Cuda 383. He does not like the original Air Cleaner because it is restrictive and the dual snorkels rattle. The Fuel vent under the hood goes into the three-way breather cap. He wants to use an open Air Cleaner with a performance Breather cap. A friend suggested a Spectre fitting made of steel over cotton mesh. What is the best option to plug the fuel vent line into?
