I used paint from MOPAR Automotive Restoration Paint to refinish my grille. The paint looks really good on my grille. IMG_7758.JPG

Did you guys use a primer under the argent grille paint?

Heminut, when painting, did you mask off the edge of the grille where the chrome trim gets attached? If not, any difficulty getting the trim attached without damaging the new argent paint?

I didn't use a primer, sprayed the textured argent directly onto the grill. I did use a sanding pad to scuff the main areas of the grill. I didn't mask the edges and had no problem putting the trim on afterwards. I actually pressed the trim on with the heel of my hand and my thumbs.

Thank you Sir!

I masked off the chrome and grilles. I did not primer the grille. I made sure it was clean and dry before I sprayed it with the paint.
