Hey everyone,

having a hard time tying to get the fuzzy felt material that is used for the door glas stabilizer.

I dont want to buy and import the whole stabilizers only because the felt isnt good anymore.

I tried asking a upholsterer near my town but he wasnt sure about the material.
The first problem is that i dont know the correct name for the material...base material could be mohair?
It would be great if someone could tell me the correct name for the material or even a source where to buy.

Thank you guys.

I am not sure what the exact material is called but a close match would be polyester felt or "craft" felt if you're just looking to recover the stabilizers with a similar material. Google "fuzzy polyester felt" or "craft felt" for purchasing options. Again, it isn't exact but if you don't want to purchase the complete stabilizer (which have recently been reproduced), this will be your next best option...

Well if you can't find the material an alternative which is almost a dead match and works perfectly are velcro strips that you can purchase at any hardware store. The 2 pieces that come with the strip has 1 that's the 'fuzzy' stuff which you will use and the other piece you discard. Great also because they are adhesive backed already. I did mine with these and 9 years of use and no issues.

Thank you guys ;)

I think i will go with the velcro strip - sounds like a good replacement for me.
If i find the "correct" material anyway i let you know.
