Maybe this is why the older generation were very good of doing math in their head. And work from dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn.

Good explanation. I was thinking that. but no holes like the rear. You might be 100% right.
They could have unbolted the rears taking them off the transport. Maybe the rears would drag coming off the truck and the front ones wouldn't. Might explain only the fronts still being there.

These are not transport hold down brackets. They are engine movement limiting supports.
They come on late 73 and 74 ebody, because all the other cars have the new for 73 captive motor mounts.

The dodges where being promoted. The Vega were already a loss, Didn't mater how loaded them. In the 50's could only load 2 per car, but they could be stacked. Then there's what keep us safe. I should say the troops in them!

this seems logical. i can’t see them as transport mounts . i’ll have to look at the original 318( on a pallet) see what the mounts looked like . been so long i don’t recall! question comes to mind , are they going to get along with a 383 ?!

Nice. I learned something new today. Glad everyone shares here. I keep gaining knowledge. I don't think we will ever learn all MA Mopar did but bits and pieces here and there help.
