I’m wiring up a replacement dash and made a jig to attach it to my engine stand. Got this idea from the internet, thought I would share here in case anyone is looking for ideas.

It’s pretty stable, but I want to add braces that go from the defrost vent bolt holes to the C channel.

On another forum, a member had a dash stand similar. His had a single bolt each end at the upright to dash connection. His dash pivoted on these "hinges" by mistake and the dash impaled a lower bolt and ruined his dash.

Hard to see if yours has the same issue from the angle of the photos.

You’re right. There are single bolts at each end, and while it’s relatively stable right now, it’s definitely possible for the dash to pivot. That’s why I’m wanting to add braces at the defrost vent bolt holes.
