MAP LIGHT NUT SIZE

Anyone know what size the nut is that secures the under dash lamp switch? Appears to be be fine thread as well. Lost it in the resto. Thread pitch and hex size??

I tried several I have and at the parts store. They seem to be too fine of thread. Can’t believe the nut wasn’t on the switch or in the bag from disassemble.

you should be able to use a thread pitch gauge to determine that , I have them here if you need a vacation in Panama !

Lol! I do need a vacation’ as, retirement. It wasn’t fine or metric on our thread board here in parts. Sort of looks like a pipe thread ?? Appears to be 7/16 fine but is not. I’m gonna get in the loft this evening and search some more parts bags.

I measured one. 28 thread count, 9/16 outside, 7/16 inside.

Looks like AMK Products has one close, B-10556 : 7/16-28 5/8; 2 @ $4

That’s the switch for sure. I can’t find the nut. Looks like the the middle nut, bottom row. I’ll send you an email when I get back to the office. Thanks Slots!
