Mopar mud flaps/ rock guards

Anyone remember a part number for the mopar mud flaps /rock guards that were mostly chrome for E bodies. I’m having a hard time finding anything about them. Here is a picture of my Dads Cuda with them on it. I recently bought the car and in the process of redoing the whole car. There have been taken off by an owner.

OK, you got my interest. Hoping to see what others reply. I have never seen those on an E-Body and hope to learn something new!

I could be wrong but I almost positive these were a Mopar accessories item. I faintly remember a new set in the package hanging on the wall of my dad’s barn growing up. I was hoping a member with more years of experience than me could verify or say I’m wrong. I don’t think from my experience these were an assembly line installed item as I don’t see no mention of these on any build sheet data.

Thank you, that gives me encouragement that these were a Mopar factory item.

@MoparCarGuy and @Cuda Hunter, you two have all kinds of history on this sort of thing. What say you? It's kind of cool option even if installed by the dealer prior to delivery/pickup by the owner.

I’m leaning toward these were made for Mopar by a Us company and installed at the dealer before pickup. Maybe the two gentlemen you mentioned above will chime in. They have a lot more experience than me.

Thanks for the experience compliment. I can't take it as I have only been into mopars, much less cars for about 25 years. I didn't grow up around these cars so I am still learning.

As I understand it the chrome mud flaps were direct connection and could have been installed by the dealer.
These were not factory optioned. No code for them and I have never seen broadcast sheet info on mud flaps.
Someone with a direct connection catalog from 1969 would have the part number. These books exist. I almost bought one at Carlisle this year but passed on it. Should, woulda , coulda.

I have seen the chrome splash guards, mud flaps at carlisle. So they do exist out there.

Not factory, but a dealer add on or store bough aftermarket. Many new car owners wanted to protect their new cars paint. Dealers either added them on as a selling feature or customers would add them to their cars after purchase. They are cool to see them still on some cars today.

I know there are a lot of places with gravel around it the flaps do make perfect sense for that!

In those early years id was not "DC" It was Hustle Stuff.
