I just picked this up for running parts. Gets great gas mileage and a few thumbs up.

1971 sunroof squareback. 1600 dual port motor with twin 34mm carbs.

VW

I havent had it long enough to burn a tank through it. $28 filled it up and I've been driving for about a week now. It must get at least 30mpg. It's air cooled and doesn't weigh anything.

It's great to see old cars in good condition no matter what kind they are. I personally like the original Honda Civics, strange looking little cars. I spotted this one in a junk yard a few months back.

It is hard to get 30mpg out of the air Cooled VW... Unless yo udrive real easy and slow.. I have owned over 60 vw's over the years from tube chassis race cars to turbo street cars.. Great cars.. easy to work on and affordable to maintain...

Great score... I paneled one of them back in the 90's...
