Mine just shipped today and I hope to finish my 512 build this weekend, so with a little luck, I'll be testing my fit out soon as well.

Took Sunday off work and painted the engine bay to match, so the whole thing is sublime now. It was black previously and while I enjoyed freaking out the purists, it looks SO much better now.

I have a 73 rally with a big block swap. I used the 2” TTI’s on a 440, trick flow heads, with a borgeson power steering box and mini starter and automatic transmission. There are no clearance issues at all.

I also purchased the TTI 3” full exhaust. It is in the shop getting the exhaust installed.

Hopefully it is out of the shop by tomorrow, I will get some photos top side, meanwhile here is the exhaust in progress of being welded.

Ever have issues with leaks with those clamps? I've never used them but I like the idea of removable. I'm not going to get a chance to work on mine for the next 2 weeks but the headers came in the other day and if I can make that work, it'll help me get it on the road that much faster!

No, these band clamps are unbelievably leak-free. The TTI exhaust pipes are extremely tight fits at each junction. So much so that I used a pipe expander to slightly enlarge the female side of each joint to make it easier to put together. Tap the pipes together, install the band clamp, and you are done.

band clamps are unbelievably leak-free
I bought V band clamps to put on mine. when I was installing the exhaust. I seen the band clamp and thought they would make it easer to adjust the exhaust. Put anti seize on the pipe. Never took them off and they don't leak. There is a foil strip that goes where the wedge is. I don't think I put them in. 🤔 Pic below is when exhaust was being adjusted. over axle pie was pushing it.

My Exhaust is set up to be removable @ the collector and at the rear of the muffler @ the hanger where we used a band clamp.

It basically allows full access to the transmission and rear differential.

Got mine installed last night. Pretty straightforward install.

Borgeson steering and mini starter, I only had to pull the steering column and engine mount bolts, jack up the driver's side a bunch, and wiggle it in.

Passenger side was a little easier, although I had to remove the drivers side valve cover. Jacking up the passenger side of the engine rocked the valve cover into the brake booster.

Haven't fit the exhaust yet and they're just mocked up with 2 bolts each right now, but I dont see any clearance issues anywhere and I think this was the last big step in my whole engine install. Exciting.

Glad I went with ceramic coating, they look great. Thought about just cutting holes in the hood and running the old Hedmanns. 😆

Remember to put a bit of anti-seize on the header bolts and make sure the supplied TTI bolts are not too long for your aluminum heads.
Which heads are you running?
EDIT: I looked back through this thread and found Spyder had shared that he went with the Trickflow heads. If I were choosing heads today, it would be the TF 240’s, too.

Yep, I'll check depth before securing.

When I was younger, I remember running studs and brass bolts to hold headers on my '60 D-100 I put a big block in so they wouldn't seize up. Stumbled across those nuts while digging through a bolt bin the other day. 😄
