I originally bought this hood for my 70 Challenger but have since found another hood. Sorry I didn't dig the hood all the way out. I just wanted to get a picture of the holes in the hood. I've been told it's a 1971 only wide chrome hood for a Challenger. I've also been told it's very rare hood having the dodge letters with the wide chrome and hood pins. Looking to verify or deny this info and maybe get a fair market value. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

All of the holes there could be drilled by anyone. Post some pics of the backside of the hood. I suspect it is a 72-73 hood.

Here's pics of the underside of the hood

It's a 1970 Dodge Challenger hood. 1971 and later had the detents in the side rails so the hood would buckle in a head on collision, rather than come back through the windshield.

The holes for the wide front trim are kind of cheesey, did the factory do such a poor job on those. I don't know.

It is a 70 hood. Someone added the holes for the 71 wide trim. Stored like it is, it will bend the hood corners. It is best to store the hood on its side.
