How long should it take for gas to get to the carb after a new tank and line install. I’ve had it running for 3-5 seconds at a time probably 20 times and still nothing. Probably bad fuel pump, but just asking for other opinions.

Should not take that long , any leaks in the line ? Do you have a vacuum gauge you can test the fuel pump?

I just did the same job, replaced everything back to front from the sender right to the carb and everything in between. Took about 5 seconds of cranking 2 or 3 times while mashing the gas pedal a bit and she fired up again. Starts as normal now.
