Hey,
My first post on here need some help. So I installed a set of Dougs ceramic headers and recommended mini torque starter on my 1973 340 Cuda with a 904 transmission....
well it's making a constant rubbing slight grinding sound.
I noticed that the inspection cover is trimmed where the starter bolts to the transmission.

Is this noise a spacing issue ?
Starter ingauges and starts fine...

Thanks for your time.

First welcome to the site from Bear, DE. I have a similar setup with the 904, headers and mini starter. I used the powermaster mini. I had a problem where the starter just wouldn't sit right against the cover even though it bolted up tight it still making noise. Mine was hitting a provision on the block keeping it from seating. A little grinding on that area and solved. I have a stroked 360 but still an LA engine. Hope this helps.
