The car

1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe was a Deep burnt orange LA assembled car , Now mutating into a Gran Coupe ( will stay GC with badges and interior) with a cuda 440 4-barrel 4-speed drivetrain. Most of the parts for the resoration have been collected and has taken many years, (e-bay, craigslist, word of mouth). Restoration is starting to move quicker now, just got the 4-speed pedals in yesterday and will be welding in the hump soon. I was surprised when I pulled out the carpet to find no rust in the floor pans or underneath when i was stripping and primering. Engine compartment was stripped and painted Fj5 Lime green ( may favorite cuda color , DPorange looks great but I wanted the green ).

Car was in accident back in the early 80 hit in the drivers quarter, bent inner wheel well slightly and trunk extension a bit, panel was bondo filled back in the 80's After the project is on the road I will redo will a full factory AMD quarterpanel as the bondo is thick.

8 3/4 rear was freshened up with the big yoke 391 posi and restored by NAMC in Portland Ore along with the 4-speed steering column.

4-speed was rebuilt by at AC-Nutter's shop in Vancouver,WA.

I was starting to get overwhelmed with the project but have gotten my second wind and am driving on. Just installed the rebuilt Midland ross booster and mastercylinder purchased from wayne brown in Texas. for the disc drum conversion.

I placed a few pics from the start of the resoration in the member photo gallery and plan on adding some updated pictures this week after my wife gets her new camera.
