Package Tray color?

Have a 71 barracuda gran coupe. Interior code PRT7? Not sure if the T is correct. The trays only come in Black. I am sure the old one was not black. Anyway of knowing what the correct color was? Have the correct color for dash, and interior. Should I spray package tray the same?

The package tray MAY be color-matched to the interior. I'm pretty sure I've seen an original burnt-orange one many years ago in an burnt-orange interior car. But that car also had a burnt-orange steering column, and burnt-orange seat belts.

I seem to recall (not from my notes) only rallye instrument cars can have matching color columns.

What color is your steering column and belts?

With my 70 Challenger with the white interior, the package tray is black along with the dash and carpet. Steering column is black also.

My vote: your car, paint it the color you want.

Column is black, seat belts brown. No rally dash. I believe the package tray was brown, but just seeing if there was a code, or some way knowing for sure. Was trying to keep it original, but it is easier said than done. Will just paint it brown like the interior.
