is there any way to verify a paint code on a 73 cuda without a fender tag?

You can also find places on the car with original paint on them even if the car has been repainted. If it's been media blasted you might be s.o.l.! Look on and around the package tray, the floorpans under the garpet, certainly in the font and rear glass channels you will find areas of pristine original paint if the glass has never been removed.
