Yes, I'm still alive and breathing air. I have not been here in a while other than to lurk for a few minutes. Pretty much all of it is true. I bought a new (to me) HAAS VMC to try to make the machining process a little quicker. After months of waiting on the local power company, I finally got up and running earlier this year.
The good/bad news is that when Gunslinger got sold to Brewer's, they sold the remaining inventory of automatic handles and then stopped. I imagine since they only do 4-speed stuff, that's why. Good for me, bad for anyone who wanted one.
The new machine is definitely quicker, but the sanding/polishing steps still take forever and have to be done by hand. Anyone who has made a request is still on the list and I believe I'm into December 2019's requests.
