Plastic steering shaft connectors broke

You need to bolt it into the car loose, so column can slide.check you cup measurement 13/16 from top of cup to center of hole. then tighten up 2 bolts under dash. the bump stop might end up against the the flange.

New problem Where does the spring go on the first collar. This is upside down now. Where does the spring connect on the large tube?

Thank god I found it. There is a small hole in between two of the screw holes on the column that it goes to. If it is upside down it will be to the bottom right. You have to put the end on the column first then hold it while you slide on the collar, don't let go it will fall out. Then grab with other hand and pull it over to the collar small stud sticking up. Where it is connect in the pic above. I have a manuel and watched the video's so I didn't think I need a bunch of pics like what was recommended. Would have helped is all I am saying. So I hope to post with a completed picture.

Some things are just a little tricky.Yes if the bearing doesn't feel rough. It's not going to be turning at high speed.
