Hey guys, my '73 cuda leaks power steering fluid so bad, it would make the Exxon Valdez blush. After a lot of reading on this forum and some flashlight/mirror inspections I have determined it is the input shaft seal. One user here suggested looking at a write-up on FBBO

In it, he used what looks like a 90 degree dental drill. Question, does anyone have a recommendation to find such a drill?

Thanks in advance.

Why spend the money on something like that that you may only use one time? If you disassemble the steering shaft as far as he did in his post you are only a few more bolts away from being able to completely remove the assembly and use a regular drill. You will also have a lot more room to work by removing everything.

Here is what I used to remove/replace the seal. Drywall screws work great and with a little black tape over the splines to prevent tearing the new seal during replacement. Also used a piece of PVC the size of the seal to press it in. Hope this helps 🏝
