Greetings all. Long time since I posted, but I am steadily making progress on my 70 R/T, with nearly all the metal work done and getting ready for media blasting.

First, a brief background before my question. I removed a passenger, manual window regulator (absolute PITA!!!) from a spare 70 SE door that I have, so I could insert my pwr window regulator, as my original passenger door skin is all bondo'd up and has oil cannning issues. I noticed on my original pwr window regulator that the pivot slide bracket was 180/reverse when compared to the manual window regulator. It was obvious there was previous pwr window work done on the original pwr window regulator/door, so I thought that maybe the pivot bracket was installed wrong. The pivot bracket has a recessed/offset area on one end to account for the door and lock rods. After repeatedly trying, using various regulator/window positions, I was unable to insert the pivot bracket the same way as the manual window regulator. I researched and read that the torque geometry between manual and pwr window regulators could be a reason. As a result, the door and lock rods are essentially squeezed by the bracket since the recess is on the opposite end. The pwr window works with no binding on full open/close travel.

Here's my question, along with some supporting photos, is there a unique pivot bracket (i.e. 180 out) for the pwr window regulator? My service manual does not specify, and I've read that either manual or pwr window regulators will fit into an e-body door, though my original door does have the hole between the door hinges for the electrical wiring harness, whereas the manual window door does not. First pic shows manual regulator overlaid on door in a cranked down window position with pivot bracket in proper orientation (side by side with reg arm and pivot slide track). Second pic is a close up shot. Third and fourth pics shows pwr reg installed with pivot bracket and slide track 180 out, and a close up shot. Thank you. v/r Bob
