When people are listing the fender tag data for others to see, why do they leave off or covered the last few numbers?

I don't know. Could be they think they could be tracked buy that info? Like when they black out there LP when they take a pic of there car.

I think it is more a matter of them not wanting to find their car cloned with all the correct data on the fender tag. Better safe than sorry in today's world. You don't know what someone might try to pull.
