I have a 53 Red Ram Hemi, for my 42 Dodge pickup (once I finish the Challengers, first)
Found an original, dual point Distributor, on line for for it for $60.00, back years ago. Painted dark Blue, with the original Man tag on it.
It drops right into the Distributor hole on which mid 60's/early 70's engine blocks?

"B" blocks, 361, 383, 400. At least, that's my guess.

I'll say the LA engines, since they're based on the A (poly) engines which were themselves a derivative of the early Hemi family.

I used a SB (LA) electronic ignition distributor in my 56 Desoto 330 Hemi. As I recall I did have to modify the shaft a little.

My 3 Mopars. What is the primary difference? And what do they primarily have in common? Duster, GTX and Cuda

What was the first muscle car with larger rear tires than the front from the factory?

All right. Trivia relating to the Hemi distributor fitting what later engine.
Its drops in and actually fits the slot in the intermediate shaft, perfectly, on my 340.

Have photos. The brightest case is from my 69 440, polished and physically on the left in the photos. The Hemi distro (dual point) is in the center of the photos. The nasty distro on the right was pulled from a blown engine (not mine) for spare parts.
The one picture, with the Aluminum straight edge under all three shafts shows the end of the Hemi shaft is ever so little longer than the stock LA shaft at the right. And the 440 is quite a bit longer.

A winner. Never owned a Dodge. (Except truck) Dodge is a verb. "To dodge" "Avoid" lol. Actually, when I bought the Duster, my 5th Mopar. I just noticed. "I have never owned a Dodge car." Thus now the theme.

Dodge: a sudden quick movement to avoid someone or something, as in leave them in the dirt! Hahahaha...
I have a 73 Duster, 360 powered. Mild cam. Grazing in the back 40, awaiting my further attention.
Danged thing sucked the guts out of Champion plug into one of the cylinders. This has happened once before with Chapion plugs, although, that is all I will run. N10Y Hemi plug was also in my 64 Valiant 273, with the Baracuda package....

I've had issues with Champion plugs in past. On a tired 440. The Champion plug would foul twice as fast as NGK. The "fouling" was not the fault of spark plug. It was leaking valve seal. But NGK definitely fought harder. Champion does offer a wide range. But I leave Champion as last option. JMO.

I’ve used NGK and had very good luck with them. It’s like the u groove may have something to do with it ???

Never owned a Dodge. (Except truck) Dodge is a verb.
Having owned 70+ Mopars since 1988, I've only had five Plymouths and two were within the last five years.

1972 Satellite sedan
1972 Road Runner
1985 Gran Fury AHB (former WI State Patrol)
1961 Suburban 9-passenger
1969 Valiant

Of those five only the Valiant survives. Everything else was a Dodge or Chrysler, though not necessarily by choice. For some reason, right time/right place was rarely a Plymouth.
