Rallye Lightbar Measurements Needed

I want to convert a spare non-Rallye light bar into a Rallye light bar by making the rectangular boxes to house the lights. I need the measurements of the Rallye light bar rectagnular boxes to start my project. Thanks in advance.

OK. I took petty on you and attached some photos below (excuse the dust and cat hair). Let me know if you need more. Personally, I think the two light bars are so different, you couldn't make a rally one out of a standard one. That being said, I bet a standard light bar with some bright LED bulbs would light up a rally instrument panel just fine.

It's interesting you can change the bulbs on the standard without removing the whole assembly, but not on the Ralley.

Seems like it would have saved money to come up with a light bar that would have covered both the standard and rallye instrument clusters. It's interesting that the standard light bar uses three bulbs but shines through six "outlets". Rallye light bar uses four bulbs and four larger "outlets".

Not accurate. Only one "outlet" utilizes the maximum opening and still allowing enough material to rivet the lenses on. In the picture look at the far right opening, it's less than 1/2 of the bulb cup. Two others have some degree of light blockage.

I stand corrected. Thanks! I didn't look at that angle, as mine has a lot of dust and cat hair on it for sitting on the shelf for years.

I can see the merit in this project, but the small nuances might make it best to have one to "stare and compare"
I wonder if any othe mopar utilized a similar bulb box? Getting the bulb held properly might be an issue.

I looked at my standard and rallye light bars again and I'm confident the standard light bar could be used with a rallye instrument cluster. It might not be too bright in the tachometer gauge area, but I think with some 1000 lumens LED replacement bulbs, it would work pretty well.
The inside of the bulb housings appear to be painted white or silver. Interesting that the standard bar uses 3 each 1816 bulbs (4.3 Watts) and the rallye bar uses 4 each 1893 bulbs (4.6 Watts). I'm sure the LED bulbs would be even brighter than the little tungsten bulbs and pull less wattage.

Standard bar definitely works. When I added ralley gauges to my first car, I had no idea there was a different light bar. It worked fine with plenty of light. I'd try the LEDs before going on a science project.

The LED bulbs are definitely brighter! I put them in my standard instrument lightbar and saw a big difference. I agree with Xcudame, try those first, they're fairly inexpensive.

You are probably right, but I want to try as I enjoy tinkering with things like this. I bought a cheap non-rallye light bar to play with and left the non-rallye light bar in my car which shines over my rallye gages.

I'd try adding a 4th bulb in the gap over the tachometer. Other than that, I don't think there is much to gain.
