Hello ramenth, Thanks for the informative post. My question is about the 7 1/4" rear axle and I hope it is up your alley. I have a 1970 Challenger 318 V8, auto trans. Would you happen to know what the standard gear ratio was? Were other ratios optional on the 7 1/4?

I believe the standard gear ratios were 2.76 2.94 and 3.23 for the 7.25
