Removing Headliner Bows

Can anyone tell me if there is a trick to unhooking the headliner bows from mounting holes on each side of the car? I am working on pulling the headliner out of the car, and the bows are pretty tight and I don't want to risk bending them while freeing the from the car. Would appreciate any advice or insight. Thanks.

They are spring steel. D0n't worry about bending them. They are made to be tight. Just like unstringing a bow.

Disconnect the liner from the front and back and then roll them out, they fall right out with no bending.
