I have a 1973 cuda 340 with factory air, will the shaker base plate fit or will I need to change the compressor?

The base plate may need to be notched in the front to accommodate the compressor. I've read of others going with a smaller compressor (Sanden SD508).

The smaller Sanden compressor would help. I know it is a different car and not a Shaker, but I have had a Sixpack set up on my 70 Charger R/T S.E. with A/C for the last 37 years that I had to notch the base.
