Slant 6 to 440

Couple more updates folks. Had the flu for a week eek but glad to start on the inside today. Still lacking rear bumper guards but the rest of rear is complete

That is looking awesome!

Do you have pics of the finished trunk floor; I bet it looks great too.

IMO, don’t put a factory style rubber mat in there, it traps moisture against the trunk pan.

Ok guys, started doing a little more assembly today. Almost starting to look like a car again. After I adjust the door glass tomorrow will be Abe to install the rest of the door interior. Enjoy !

Forgot to ask, You may notice I also installed WHITE front kick panels. I know a lot of challengers with BLACK kick panels and would like to hear opinions and feedback. Thanks folks.

were there factory white kick panels?
I've not owned a set. I've owned all the colors and black but not a set of white's.
They look good. brings out that dark corner down there and makes it appear a little more roomier.
Hard to keep clean though. Gonna get kicked a lot !

I think the white continues the flow of the door panels from front to back. Looks better in my opinion. I painted mine black because most white interiors I’ve seen had black panels. I have a complete white interior I removed from an original 74 Barracuda packed away . I’m curious now I might have to dig it out and see what color the kick panels are. The seats had those clear vinyl covers on them when I bought the car for parts.

Ok folks last post as now I am on the road again after a long restoration. I APPRECIATE all the help from my fellow members here and will continue to seek your guidance. Because of all of you, i was able to move forward with issues I did not have knowledge of.. MANY MANY THANKS! and have a Happy New Year

Brian

Congrats Brian, your Challenger looks great:thumbsup:. You need to let us know how the shake down goes. Happy Mopar'in!

Car looks great, nice job and that white interior is purty:thumbsup:. You mean no leaks or over heating problems:D.

Moparlee, you right, no overheat or leaks, I attribute that to me building an engine stand and ran it and ran it for a lot over the last 2 years while doing the restore. I would advise everyone to run a new motor on a stand before the install. Made a believer out of me.
