We had just finished the dyno runs on our latest 448/440 build and a Challenger owner came by and asked about the build and results.

.040" over 440
Factory forged crank
H-beams
Forged flat tops
10.6:1 compression
91 octane pump gas
Customer requested Victor heads, that flow right at what the new Trick Flow 240 CNC heads do.
Solid flat tappet 255 @ .050" (the equal of a 242 @ .050 hydraulic)
1.6 rockers for .604 lift
950 Quick Fuel
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake

572 lb-ft @ 3,800 rpm and 593 hp @ 5,900 rpm
492 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm start of dyno pull
496 lb-ft @ 6,100 rpm end of dyno pull
557 lb-ft @ 3,300 rpm
550 lb-ft @ 5,100 rpm

"Man, he says,"that would sure be nice in my Challenger!"

Yes it would, but, I believe the owner has plans to put it in his '72 Satellite.

Nice work, a very stout streetable package.
Did you dyno test a single plane on there at the same time?

Not on this one, but, next week we dyno a 440 with the new TrickFlow heads. We are going do testing with an Edelbrock Victor, the Edelbrock Performer RPM and the 6-Pack.

We have, in the past, dyno'd a 496 with the Victor, Torker II and the Edelbrock RPM.
