Speaker shelf/Package tray

Has anyone tried using a challenger speaker shelf in a Cuda? The original parts book list’s as the same part, but, no MOPAR # was assigned to it. It was not available as a replacement part from Chrysler.
I’m desperate for the piece and it’s not available from the restoration parts houses. Any thoughts or experiences with this?

Can’t you just weld a new strip along the edge, it looks salvageable...

That’s my last resort, I thought about having a piece fabricated and patching it in. My other thought is to see how different the Challenger shelf is and perhaps massage it to fit. I have a Challenger piece on the way, I’ll post an update when it arrives. Many Thanks for the reply.

The Challenger shelf arrived a few days ago and looks like it will fit with very little massaging. Installation should happen next week sometime. More photos to follow then.

OK, so next week turned into next month. But, much progress has been made. Just trimmed the tips a little and the fit is excellent.
Anyone out there in need of a Cuda speaker shelf, a Challenger piece will work very well.
Looks like primer in a “few” weeks, I’ll update then.
