Had my carpet put in. What are the next steps? Had to pull back door panel to put wings in. Having a rough time.

In my experience, the headliner would go in next. I assume you marked the headliner bows in their proper order. I also mark the holes they each go in and take measurements of location so I can find them. Also make dome light location with measurements. Also measure locations for your seat belt shoulder harness bolt locations. It's terrible trying to find these holes through a new headliner. You may find on the headliner you will need to re-stretch a couple of times so don't make bolt holes in it until you are satisfied with how it looks. Once the headliner is installed, I work on the rear package tray. After the rear package tray, I work on the rear window interior moldings. Then the top interior side moldings. Then the front pillars. The interior side panels go in just before you install the seat belts and the seats. You can't have too many measurements for hole location.

No bows - eliminates that issue. Make sure to measure for the sunvisor holes also. Did the gran Coupe have a hardboard headliner like the Challenger SE? I have only owned one SE and the headliner was pulling off the hardboard and the hardboard had a sag to it.

Gran Coupe Plymouth Barracuda and SE Dodge Challenger had very similar options. Cardboard headliner (coupes) with overhead console were similar.

On a side note, I find it interesting that Plymouth made the Gran Coupe it's own body style (BP23 or BP27) while for the Challenger it was an option for the JH or JS! Gran Coupe could be convertibles but SE Challengers were all hardtops.

I vote working from the top, downward. So in your case, that's something like
  1. a-pillar covers, dash assembly, steering column
  2. headliner, upper console, courtesy light
  3. rear sail panels, package tray, headliner trim, windshield and rear window trim
  4. sun visors and rear view mirror
  5. carpet
  6. center console (when present)
  7. seat belts, rear interior panels
  8. rear door trim, seats
  9. front door panels, trim
  10. anything else overlooked

The hard board was pretty much destroyed. I found a fiberglass one. Got windshield and carpet in. I also heard to put in headliner in before windshield. Will have to figure out how to install this headliner. The top seat belt along the side of liner is going to be the hard part. When does the package tray get installed?

Good advice above. Not sure just were you are at.

There are cases where the wrong order will give you headaches though!

Not sure where the list came from.
