thanks in advance as I use a lot of words.
Do I have to bleed my power steering fluid?
1973 challenger with power steering had a lot of play and was hard to keep straight but was easy to steer (power steering worked) after new bushings/ball joints/etc
Swapped out steering box with remanufactured cardone unit. No play in steering and car drives straight but power steering isn’t working. Sounds like the power steering fluid is low. (Lots of whining noise, vibrations, etc) fluid level in reservoir is okay and when I added fluid it would end up purging from reservoir cap.
I swapped out PS pump and hoses. Still having the same issues where it feels like air is in the lines.
I feel like I’m missing some easy step. Thank you
