I am replacing my worn out 318 and 904 with a 360/727 combo. I understand the 904 and 727 are different lengths. So I have two questions:

1. Do I need to shorten my driveshaft. I would assume the difference in lengths?
2. Do I need to replace the transmission mount or move it back any?

Thanks

Yes, the 727 is longer, you'll need a short driveshaft.

Mount stays in same location. The tailshaft is what added the length.

As for a different mount, I'm not sure on that one. But I don't believe so.

Length difference (driveshaft) is about 4 inches. The filler tube is different, the dust cover is different.
