throttle cable "keeper'

installed throttle cable to accelerator pedal. little ball end goes into place but will not stay in place. appears that there was a'keeper; on end of ball, impression of such on pedal..is this part available--original cable.. michael 71 challenger

Mine has a little plastic ribbed push pin with a flat head. I'll see if I can find a photo.

This is a photo of the one in my Charger which is easier to get to at this point. I believe my Challenger is the same.

My local auto paint/parts store carries a variety of the plastic push pins. Usually they are in pre-packaged bags. Just get one that will fit in the pedal arm hole.

They are called panel fasteners at NAPA. I dont know how small they go. Also, a plastic screw pushed into the pedal arm hole and you can use a nut on the back which would also work.
