V6X- Body side tape trim (Need Decoded)

This option cost $14.25. Trying to find out what color the stripe was, where it goes, and do they still make them? Any help would be appreciated.

For 1970, the Cuda model (VIN starts with BS) had the V6X stripe. It was a Matte Black-only Hockeystick stripe with the engine callout of 340, 383, 440, or HEMI.
Performance Car Graphics has the stripe kits

That looks like V5X, not V6X.

I was going to say the same thing, V5X. Which is black body side molding with a black pin stripe around it.

I thought that too, had to take a magnifying glass to it. It definitely is a 6.

Reason I say it is a 6 is there was never a black stripe on the car. Plus that 5 has a 6 loop at the top

X means black. V6X on that car could have been the strobe stripe. Best to look at the parts manual or the option book. Is this a 70 or 71, didn't see that mentioned for certain.

It is a 71. Just remember the car in 76 it had a tan pin stripe. If x is black my memory is going bad. Need to do more research. Thanks for your help

I can't say I have ever seen a v6x black billboard on a gran coupe. Only on Cuda's.

14.25 is the cost of the option. That will also explain which option it is by the cost of the option.

I believe it is just a pin stripe. The color helps, but what did it look like on the car. Been searching all over the net.
