I am doing a Vintage A/C install and have a question on the dash vents. Can I install an A/C car dash pad and factory vents and hook them up to the Vintage Air unit?? I would just like to use the duct work that came with the Vintage kit.I had to roll the pad forward to get the factory defrost duct out so replacing the pad at this point wouldn't be too bad. And..who makes a quality dash pad??

Thanks
Mike

*****UPDATE--it turns out Vintage Air makes adapters to go on the factory vents..so I am getting a dash pad and finding the center and right side A/C vents........

ooh, ooh, search this site for a recent dash pad discussion. A recent topic of discussion led me to ABC Moparts, and many good recommendations. It looks like a quality dash pad will cost about $1600, if you provide the old one to be restored. All the various combinations are available, with A/C, without, 1 speaker, 3 speaker etc.

Thank you..but I will buying the dash outright since I have a non A/C dash pad now.

Also looking to find out if what I want to do it possible.....adding the A/C dash pad and vents and using the Vintage Air to connect to them.

I believe you can keep all the stock components inside the cab and vintage air inside the engine bay.
I would give vintage air a call.
I think you would need there heater/AC control unit instead of the stock one.

I called them. This is a non A/C car so I am doing the Vintage Air kit and adding a factory A/C dash pad and vents.

I got all of my answers, but couldn't delete this thread.......
