What are these dimples lower windshield area

Hi everyone I have begun resto on my 70 Cuda what are these dimples for both side lower windshield area is something supposed to be there thanks

Can you back off on the picture ? It is too close to really see the whole area.

That is the lower windshield bed right side left is the same

They are for original windshield setting blocks. You can weld em up.
