So my 1970 Cuda was built on 7/1970. I was wondering what was the last month the 1970 Cuda was built in 1970?

7/70 was the last month , in late 07 they changed the molds etc & tooled up for 71 production & usually the first 71 would have been built the first week of 8/ 71

Chryco Psycho,
my Challenger is one of these early '71 model year cars, with VIN Number JH27 H1B 150398 (build date 814 / Friday, August 14th 1970).

What always puzzled me is the Sequencial Number, as it seems to be common believe the S/N started with 100001 at the beginning of a new model year.
Was it only the Hamtramck plant which started with 150001 (making it car number 398 built there in model year 1971)?

No sure date on actual assembly date, build dates, scheduled build dates, sequential numbers... not necessarily the date it got finished and rolled off the line. it happens when it happens. Only the guy that took it off the line knows for sure. Many reasons, build problems, quality problems, special orders, parts not available on and on.

Thanks for your remarks. That explains also why the build date says 814 and the door tag says 9 - 70.

I had a 70 Cuda that was built The first or second week 8 month of 69. Not sure of the date though. Kim
