What piece of trim am I missing in the picture?

Well in 70 it was a optional trim piece some times referred to as SE trim but was really only a dress up trim piece.

Was it just a chrome or stainless piece that goes around the opening? This car obviously had it at some point but I haven't noticed on others. I haven't seen it in the parts books either. Thanks.

Bright Aluminum trim. Continues the trim from around the grill.

If you don't have that piece, most folks won't know. If you need a new one, try Metro Parts or MCB. They run about $145
