Wheel well molding help

Bought wheel well moldings in Carlisle 2 years ago from a vender that had 3 huge tents of new Mopar parts. The front moldings fit great. The rear are off, don't know if he gave me the wrong ones. Or is there something I can do to make them fit? On both back moldings are off that much. Are they for a different ebody?

I thought Cuda and Challenger ones were slightly different. Wonder if they sold you the wrong ones. You could probably pull that in gently. We had to do the same thing on the rear of a 71 Charger 500 we worked on.

Was going to try to pull it in, but afraid it would bend. Does anyone know that vender in Carlisle??

To my knowledge the wheel well lip moldings are same 70-74.

Am I missing something?

If they are all the same, why are they off that much on both rear sides?

The collision guide shows the numbers are all the same.
I would have to say it just wasn't fabricated correctly.

I would say if there is no way exchange. You just might as well try to make it work. I would place a screw or a clamp above the red line. Start pushing it into place. Look to see where it want's to buckle. Then make a cut in the inside of wheel well. Then push the rest of the way in and fasten. You have nothing to loose. Or sell them and buy the correct fitting ones.
Those are the options I see.

Or the 1/4 panel is off.

Good thought., Is this the original quarter panel or has any body work been done in this area ?
Check it on another car.

The quarters have been changed. The old moldings that came off the old quarters fit the new quarters. That is why I believe they gave me the wrong moldings.

Lots of posts regarding horrid fit on the repops.

Perhaps you can use a shrinker to pull it in. Excuse to buy a new tool.

Hey Grand Coupe, I had the same issue with the new repop rear moldings too. I started screws at lower rear and worked up to middle. Then started the front lower screw and worked up. I had to apply some pressure and a C-Clamp to hold the upper portion in while putting the last screws in. Also use some tape to protect your paint. Worked for me with no bends or creases in the molding. Thinking about replacing the screws with pop rivets for a cleaner look. 🏝

Nothing like OEM MOPAR parts. But. Play the hand your delt. Good job! I figured someone here delt with it in that manner. Thanks for sharing what worked.
