Window regulator replacement

The drivers side manual window regulator is missing the top 4-6 teeth and thus will not fully close the window. I have obtained a new window regulator and will start the replacement soon. Has anyone done this replacement previously? Any comments on or tips on this replacement? Do you have to remove the window to remove and replace the regulator?

Window glass can stay, make sure it's down. Held in with screws. I just rebuilt the teeth instead of buying another.

Hey 340 im doing the same project and could use some tips as well does not seem like it will come out with the glass down. i too would be grateful if anyone has some advice .
