Hi all, I found my switch is not working. I never paid too much attention to it since I don't drive in the rain much.

So it's a 3 speed, but it won't change speed when turning the knob, all 3 positions will deliver the same speed.
Also it won't move to park.

I removed it and saw that the ballast resistor(?) has crumbled spreading dust/grit everywhere. I cleaned it and can see 2 coils now.

Is it possible to fix it? And how?

Thanks.

There are people that can rebuild it. I am sure someone on this forum can give you names.

I haven't been here in a while. Did you get it handled?

Nope.

It looks like the issue is really that bit I highlighted, no idea how it's called, little resistor.

If I could bypass that, or connect any external one it might do the trick.

I tested the wiper motor straight to battery and it works as it should, including park position.

First off..... The switch case needs to have a good ground for everything to work correctly.

First off (again).... Confirm that you have a 3 speed motor (pic?)
