I would go for a new MP block to eliminate the chance of buying an expensive door stop or boat anchor unless you can find the matching #'s block it's not worth the risk those original castings are expensive.

Lots of people waiting for the new blocks. I'm sure they won't be cheap for some time....if ever. I'm sure the secondary market will profit greatly.

I see that this is your first post. Welcome to the site. Like what was said, blocks are in short supply. Are you going to build this engine by yourself ? or having it built for you.. The larger Hemi builders out there have most of the blocks for their customers. If you are going to have it built anyway, it might be quicker and more economical to search out a builder who can help you out.

have a complete hemi motor casting date 11/11/68 was originally in a 1970 hemi cuda all machine work done virgin heads 10/10 crank ,.20 over racer brown cheater cam special grind (hyd) all gaskets all new parts apart for inspection too much to list.pm me for phone number if interested. the owner of the car has no interest in the motor.

Thanks for you thoughts. I was able to pick up a newer Hemi block not made by World. The World blocks have the soft plugs on the front of the block and not what I wanted to use for my resto.
