Haven't used those specifically but have used ones just like them and added my own solder. They work great and you can't get a better connection IMO!

What brand.... Was your cable solid or flex....?

Not sure of the brand. They have them at the local hardware store. I use them on flex cable. Just set them in the vise with the barrel up and flux both cable and terminal then put cable in and heat and put your solder in and let cool a few seconds and you are back in business. Sure beats the clamp on style with the two bolts. I use them on the farm equipment as well. They might sell them on fleabay.
