The Yugo: The Rise and Fall of the Worst Car in History.

In 1989 a Yugo passing over the Mackinac Bridge ( connects the lower and upper peninsula of Michigan) went out of control and plunged 172 feet into the water below. A theory is that the wind blew the car into the rail where it tumbled over the edge.

I remember the gas tank issue. Also, when reading about pro stock drag cars, it was said the Pinto body would have been more aerodynamic if it was run backwards.
