It all should work, but they changed the throttle bracket and the linkage in 1970 from what they had in 1968-69.
 
I don't know where you "keep reading that B/E-body are the same". Not true
Is your question whether the 318 linkage will work with a 383 ? The linkages will be too short for both the carb and trans.
 
I'm pulling the small block in my 71, and putting in a 383/727.

I keep reading "68-70" B/E body are the same.

I new to E-Bodies.

I would've figured the 71 linkage would be the same as a 70?
Please clarify, I am not seeing it. 68-70 B/E are the same... Same what? Same linkage for the same size engine or same for any size engine ?
Or same regardless of what car it is installed in ?
It will also depend on the intake manifold/carb that you use.
Colum shift or console ?
A more detailed question will get a more detailed answer.
I have owned 6 different Dodge and Plymouth E-bodies 1970-73 since 1977.
I would suggest that you also download some Factory Service Manuals.
