Mu Cuda has been at the shop for 5 weeks , the last 2 weeks has been on wiring under dash , they keep telling me it's a mess , what would be a time frame on rewiring under dash .

With a new harness a day. With first brake at 10 am lunch at noon 2nd brake at 3pm. Wrap up clean up 3:45 pm.
I get that they don't do wiring everyday if at all but going on 3 weeks almost , I was kind of an A-hole with them on the phone hopefully they won't do anything stupid .

What was the problem they were to fix?
When I got the car off the transporter there were some wires hanging over the gas pedal so I kicked at it to move it and it sparked , dumb by me , everything seemed to work but the aftermarket cluster and stereo so the mechanic said he would clean that up , we'll it turned into something bigger saying miss matched wires and modules apparently they can't figure it out , they keep telling me in 2-3 days , so just frustrated .

It might have been the fuse box came un clipped and was hanging down. there are screws there to hold it place. It is hot all the time when the battery is connected. So I'm guessing the key was in the on position.
Or something was not completely installed.

The wiring is in general all the same from year to year, with subtle changes. this might help them.

The whole car was put together with weird parts but that's what you get for buying off the internet and not seeing it up close , still a nice car for the money though just needed some money and time I guess .

They have graphs printed out , I think they get mad and put it to the side and work on something else , they did do a lot of work , pulled the engine , replaced the water pump , radiator and hoses , oil pan , transmission pan , all new gaskets , cleaned the Eddy , fixed the broken valve cover bolts, new fan , ball joints , u joints , shocks , painted the headers , so it will be nice someday .

The best way to get to the wiring is to take it out. First remove the cluster speed o cable too.If still have one .Then take the driver seat out. Unplug the bulkhead connectors and remove the the fuse box and bulkhead connector. Everything under the dash unplugs. Then you can see just what is going on.

A little more info. Removing the harness is knowing where it goes. remove gauge cluster, lower column, glove box liner so you can get to the blower plug and radio is a help

If it was me, I would get a brand new harness and do it myself. I did that on my 70 Duster 340. I bought it and quickly found it had electrical issues, which were fixed by the new harness. Our old girls are 50+ years old now and no telling how many hands have been in the pie hacking things up and doing foolish things to "make it work". Too much chance of an electrical fire which will cost you a whole lot more! With a shop charging a per hour rate, having them guessing at things gets expensive.

Agreed , I just don't know what they have done , I called earlier and told them to give me a call when they can tell me a day it's done but haven't heard , pretty frustrating.

You said they have been working on the wiring for the past two weeks which doesn't mean anything. How many man hours have they actually worked on it? Are they providing you weekly time sheets showing what was done?

I would be very tempted to go get the car and bring it home. In your case, no news is not good news.

View attachment 130538This is the only pic I can get of the stereo and the cluster under the stereo .
That is a standard cluster should not be a problem. aftermarket stereo could be a problem with bad connections. I also see a set of under dash gauges and if there are loose wires or installed wrong could be a problem. The wires you moved up that were hanging down might have been them and caused the problem.
