Hi All,

My first carb rebuild, my end carb throttle body didn't look so great, is this normal, ok, not good..check a box 😆 list is 4383. Originally when I got her I sent carbs off for rebuild 4 years ago but they didn't say anything, just got them back and installed. Pulled them off recently and see this, so just wondering if this could be seeping in extra fuel.

The center and front had a few pitted spots but nothing like the end.

Thanks!

Will try that soon, any thoughts on other options? already back in since weather is good here in PNW for some drives, always seemed rich since I got her, (granted I am no experience with 6 barrels) but watching/ reading trying to learn. I haven't gotten a AF gauge but might be next step.
Thanks!

Are these original carbs or the reproduction carbs that were again canceled several years back? I am assuming originals if you had to send them off to be rebuilt. Depending who you sent them to for the rebuild if you didn't send them to Holley direct then they probably would have sent them to Holley for the re-plating. There is a known time period or bad batches that the plating was flaking off of Holley carbs and clogging up fuel filter and causing carb issues such as yours. I don't have the date range or time frame in front of me that this was known.
